Club Sushi

Bexleyheath, South East London. It's a Thursday night. Normally this forgotten part of London would be empty apart from a few kids who are probably carrying knives and hanging around the local chip shop. But tonight is a Thursday night, tonight is Club Sushi.

There's a reason you've never heard of Bexleyheath – it's a dump. Yet somehow, amongst all the scum and the rubbish a club night was born. A beautiful place full of beautiful people, people without pretension who will dance to anything and with anyone. Run by a man who calls himself Bad Boy Roki, the free entry before 9.30 and cheap drinks attract anyone in the South East who is looking for a good night out. Roki plays whatever he's in the mood for, making top 40 tracks mix seamlessly with 30s classics and 80s show tunes. As soon as you turn up at Sushi, you feel welcome. It's more than a club night, it's a community. A community that is trying to save South East London from itself.
